Forex Trend Navigator (FTN) is one of the base trading systems we use when designing a trend based system for our clients.
It’s a super simple system that has laser accuracy to determine a strong trend and timely entry and exit points. It consists of:
Moving Average (MA)
Parabolic Stop and Reverse (Parabolic SAR)
Moving Average (MA)
A moving average is commonly used with time series data to smooth out short-term fluctuations and highlight longer-term trends or cycles.
Forex Trend Navigator uses Faster and Slower MAs and doing some defined mathematical calculations to find strong trends.
Parabolic SAR
SAR stands for stop and reverse and it is used to identify the turning point, or reversal, of a trend.
It is shown on a chart by a series of small dots.
If the dots are above the price, then the trend is likely to be down; if the dots are below the price, the trend is likely to be up.
We use SAR to filter “false signals” by trailing the price movement until the price move has finished and begins to reverse.
Forex Trend Navigator system is therefore a carefully crafted mathematical algorithm that works according to fast and slow moving average and horned to perfection by parabolic stop and reverse to create a highly super profitable trend following trading system.
