📖 Here's another entry from my Etymology of Terms & Names which I think you'll find interesting:

Noominia - the name of the fairy world that Vesper's family comes from; Noominia was derived from the english word 'numinous,' meaning ‘a spiritual force or influence, supernatural, mysterious, holy, spiritual.'

More:

1. the beginning spells ‘moon’ backwards, a reference to the fairy moon (see 'fairy moon')—an important aspect of Noominian life, a part of the celebration of the unicorn festival on The Day That Is Night;

2. a nod to Tove Jansson's Moomin Valley stories, the name of the home of Moomintroll. Tove was a swedish Finn, and several place names, character names and elements of Noominia are influenced by the Finnish language and culture.

3. Unrelated: in Finnish 'nomini' means 'my name;' in Arabic 'noom' means sleep, and 'noomini' means 'I sleep;' in hindi 'noomini' means 'nominee.'
