Tantra is a very special kind of Yoga. It is also often misinterpreted.

Tantra encourages us to embrace our rapturous nature. Unfortunately, old structures have made us ambivalent, if not suspicious, about practices that promote freedom of body, mind, and heart. And that is why tantra may have gotten a bad rap. But we don't need THAT stifling view of our beautiful life anymore! You can throw away the limits and dogmas placed on you from outworn systems. Tantra teaches you to live a conscious, full life of integrity, harmony, and honor.

Our soul needs to be authentically free!

This summer, I will be teaching about our sacred creative energy and how we can weave together the power of surrender, freedom, and artistry into living an ecstatic life. In the holy book, The Vījñana Bhairava Tantra, aka: The Radiance Sutras, we witness the imaginative conversations between Shiva/Shakti - the Divine masculine and feminine. It presents many possibilities of meditative embodiment that lead us to our wholeness. We'll practice how to be fully awake while moving through all life - the mundane, the profane, the blissful, and intense to be radiantly alive!

Tantra is the skillful weaving of sacred knowledge into the fabric of everyday life.

Let me share with you just one of the many Tantric secrets you will learn with me: Mastering Your Energy. When we get right down to it, the mind, emotions, spirit, and body are either being energetically "charged" or "depleted" at any given moment. So, when we take into account what gives us energy or what takes it away, we are basically learning how to direct and control our own energy field. 

Most of us are dominated by substances, and give our power away to people and circumstances outside us. There is no shame in that - it is a collective human condition. Yet we cannot solve the issues from the outside-in. Suffering in our health, relationships, work, or any aspect of living requires sensitivity, compassion, courage, and awareness. To feel truly connected and mentally healthy, we have to change inside ourselves.

We are the one person we can save.

There are many techniques from Yoga and Tantra that help us reclaim our power, heal codependency, and become free from the bondage of illusive conditions. All the Great Masters have learned to work with Energy, Forgiveness, and Unconditional Love. I will present these and more in my 10-day Retreat in Kauai this June! I hope you will join me.
