Words have weight. They carry tremendous energy to hurt or to soothe. Speaking with compassion can help remove rifts between parties. Sharing ideas can support projects to take off like a rocket. Mediation, a form of negotiation, is utilized in disputes so a resolution can be reached. And consultants use their extensive experience in their specific field to guide business ventures and leaders to new levels of success. Just yesterday morning, I called a dear friend-student who is terminally ill, and left a voice message of love and support. We are using WORDS every single day to relate and make transactions, yet do we really realize the inherent power within our speech?

Communication begins within. We speak from our perceptions, inner characters, and experiences. Talking is a TRANSFER of energy. Just as our inner thought waves affect our physical/mental/emotional environment, our outer methods of communication affect the health of our relationships. Thoughts and feelings go hand in hand, often converging to intensify the other. When we offer neutral awareness to our own mental chatter and hold space for our emotions to flow, levity ensues. Patient presence has the capacity to build connection (grounding) and buoyancy (lightness) at the same time.

Words of appreciation, care, support, and kindness go a long way. It is called Positive Reinforcement. We say the thing that is working, turn toward it, and give it attention. It has worked very well with training my puppy, Blue, and it has been very effective in training my own mind. No doubt I have to create boundaries and say a firm NO at times, too! It is all part of the whole picture.

Meditation, Movement, Breathwork, and Energetic Clearing help us become truly happier humans, better listeners, and has the magic to sweeten our thoughts, words, and actions. With a softer tongue, with less physical-emotional-mental tension, our conversations become helpful, and can even provide HEALING.
