| THE HEART OF CENTRAL ASIA |
| | Greetings Friend,
We just returned from our Atlantic Paradises Exploration. All 12 of us had an absolutely fabulous experience... from swimming with dolphins to incredible vistas.
Today, I'm writing to share with you "Why I Love Central Asia"
I first explored Central Asia in 1963 – almost 60 years ago. I was 19 years old with a summer job of filming one of the world’s most unknown regions for a Hollywood stock film company. It was Soviet Central Asia then, closed off from the world, and for almost everyone I met, I was the first American they had ever seen.
Yet everywhere, the local people welcomed me with warmth and friendliness, eager to share with me their extraordinary cultures, regale me with their legendary histories, and show me their most spectacular scenery.
It was the same in 1991 when I took my son Brandon when he was seven years old to explore Central Asia as the Soviet Union was collapsing and the “Stans” were emerging as sovereign countries. And again in 2002 with my son Jackson when was ten.
Exploring Central Asia is magic on steroids. So deeply fascinating on so many levels. Each of the independent "Stans" has its own unique charm, history, culture, and geography. And every time I explore them, I experience more to marvel at than before.
Wheeler Expeditions has recently led two in-depth Central Asia explorations, and now as Wheeler-Windsor Expeditions we are conducting our third this coming September. I can hardly wait. Co-leading with me will be our partner, Edward Windsor, England’s young Lord Downpatrick. Exploring Central Asia is one of our world’s most glorious adventures. Please consider joining Eddy and me to make such an adventure part of your life.

I invite you to join us on The Heart of Central Asia – Sept 18-Oct 4, 2022
I hope you’ll soon be with me in the Mountains of Heaven, at the Ark of Bukhara, the Registan of Samarkand, and the Seven Pearls of Shing.
Blue skies…. Jack

| | Holding this eagle is one of our clients, Lila. She and other past travelers found this expedition fascinating. The dates are September 18 to October 4, 2022. (No vax required.)
Below is Rebel Holiday, in a yurt! She noticed that it is surprisingly comfortable and fun for a night or two. It's warm and you actually have a nice cot inside, so it's quite nice. Issyk-Kul lake is in the background -- this is in Kyrgyzstan. |
