Good news -- Portugal is opening to tourists! It's an easy place to reach with direct flights from NY only 6 1/2 hours.
So, I invite you to join me and my wife, Rebel, this June on an exploration of a favorite European country. We are in Portugal -- and we love sharing it.
It has diverse natural scenic beauty with a coastline and climate that rival California. It is clean, safe, and relaxed, yet it retains the heritage – it is unspoiled to this day.
It is the oldest country in Europe with deep history. We’ll see some incredible castles, palaces, fortresses and a medieval castle in a walled city. The cathedrals are extraordinary and ornate, some drenched in gold. The museums have ships that crossed the Atlantic, carriages used by royalty, and much more.
We'll also enjoy modern day Portugal...and there is a lot to enjoy. We take you to the best places to enjoy the delicious food and wine. We begin in Lisbon, the capital and continue to Porto, stopping along special places on the Portuguese Riviera to stay in excellent quality hotels with charm and elegance.
The friendly and hospitable Portuguese people welcome foreigners with open arms. (If you are wondering, they do not require the vaccine, only a PCR test.)
