Does Photoshop bring you out in a cold sweat? Help is at hand!
Hey there!
I hope you're having a good week.
I'm well on the mend from the Shingles. Although my scalp is still a little sensitive I can now wash my hair without pain. Woohoo!
The sores on my head have mostly healed and are no longer itchy :-)
But I am struggling to regain my creativity after taking nearly 2 weeks off work...
It's probably the most time I've taken for myself in 2 years.
And if truth be told, I actually kinda enjoyed the time off...
Shh! Don't tell anyone! ;-)
I caught up with some TV series, watched some great movies and listened to the entire 16.5 hours of The Name of the Wind part 1 by Patrick Rothfuss on Audible.
It's a great fantasy novel which benefits massively from the vocal talents of the narrator.
Like a child with a bedtime story, I have been totally spellbound by it :)
Incidentally, if you haven't got Audible membership, then I highly recommend you give it a whirl :)
Were you ever told as a child being told not to choose a book by the cover image?
Well it may be good advice... I don't know, because I've never tried it...
I always seem to pick a book with a cover that intrigues me or appeals to me in some way.
Plain, boring old covers just don't interest me. How about you?
As humans we are hard-wired to be attracted to interesting graphics...
Graphics that grab our attention almost force us to spend time studying them, inwardly digesting the message.
This is especially true of website or sales page graphics.
Every time a visitor hits your site they are immediately judging it by its looks…
Good graphics can mean the difference between an engaging page and a high bounce rate with your hard earned visitors clicking away almost immediately. Boo!
But designers don't come cheap and Photoshop can be a nightmare to learn by yourself...

If only some kind Photoshop expert would release video training that would teach you all you need to know in a couple of hours...

And he's even included 12 Action Scripts to speed up repetitive work. How kind :)
Just these alone are worth the price of admission and even though I can already use Photoshop I intend to buy this myself :)
