Today's email is going to be the start of a weekly series. One Wordpress video tip per week for the next few weeks...
So, today you're going to learn how to give your wordpress site a tune-up.
This is very similar to giving your computer a tune up.
You see over time a new computer becomes very cluttered, disorganized, it begins to run slower and could have problems that you just don’t know about.
And with WordPress it’s very similar. You start adding lots of posts, pictures, plugins and spam comments begin to build up.
You get 404 error pages that you have no knowledge exists, and much more.
And things begin to run slower.
A slow site is a disaster because your visitors may get impatient, click away and end up on your competitor's site! Nooooooooo!
Plus google in its infinite wisdom uses site speed as part of its site ranking algorithm. So it pays to have a speedy site. See the video below:
