Subject: [WP Theme Igniter] Jingle Bell Rock on Nov 8th - Really?
Hi there!
I had a slight mishap today - I dropped my reading glasses and one of the lenses fell out. They are half-rim ones, so the lenses are held in by a cord and as such are impossible to mend myself! "Oh bother", I said... or words to that effect... ;)
I literally cannot read the text on the computer without my glasses, but rather than admit I needed to go to the optician's and get them fixed, I tried to use them with only one lens...
And do you know what happened? I ended up with a massive headache after 5 minutes. Hardly surprising really. That will teach me not to be so lazy!
So off I go into town and after getting my glasses fixed (yay! I can see! I can see!), I popped into a card shop. Of course they have all the Christmas stuff in the shop - cards, wrapping paper etc. But what I did not expect was the music. Jingle Bell Rock was blaring out of the speakers! On November 8th! And then the tune went and got itself embedded it in my head and I've been humming it ever since. Aaaaaargh!
Anyway, I'd like to ask a little favour of you. Did you find my video taking you inside the traffic-getting plugin that I told you about yesterday useful?
If you did and you'd like me to make more of these sort of videos in future, please hit reply and let me know. Just a yes will do if you haven't got time for more :) I promise that I will read every email and respond to any questions.
I don't want you to buy anything that you can't use, so I hope my video helped you to work out whether the plugin would be useful to get traffic in your own business :)
Before I go, I just wanted to tell you about another really useful free tool that I've been using lately. I'm actually using it right now to write this email. It's called Notepad++ and it's a text editor with a difference (Windows only).
It has a lot more features than notepad itself and it has a pretty cute logo too... although I have no idea what it's meant to be. Maybe a chameleon? If anybody has any ideas what it is, feel free to let me know!
Anyway, I've got a short report, explaining how to download and use Notepad++.
You can download it here:
http://sallylazarus.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Notepad++.pdf
It has tabs and remembers the files you had open last time. You can even use macros to record text that you use a lot. It's a great time-saver! :)
It's very useful for writing sales copy or emails and especially useful for writing code if you ever have the need to do that as it highlights all the syntax.
I hope you find it as useful as I have.
If you have any questions about it, feel free to hit reply and ask. I don't bite, except on Thursdays, when there's an R in the month ;)
To your success!
Sally
