Hi there!
It's Sally Lazarus here...
In case you were wondering, I'm still alive... just, lol!
I've been feeling pretty rough since Friday and my voice has developed a very "interesting" gravelly tone... in fact a couple of days ago I could barely talk at all - laryngitis maybe...
Whatever it is I've been feeling incredibly frustrated...
I'm not getting any work done, my atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat) is playing up big time, and to cap it all, I'm most probably going to have to miss an Internet Marketing seminar I was planning to attend at the weekend...
Now I'm going to miss out on all that lovely networking. Boo!
On the positive side, I've had quite a lot of time to think about my business and how I can work smarter, in addition to the mindset stuff I was talking about last week ( I am still planning to write a blog post about that, but once I'm feeling better and my brain fog has lifted).
I feel like there needs to be a change...
I'm not sure exactly what yet, but the first step has been acknowledging that there's a problem - and it can be quite difficult to admit something like that to yourself.
I have been working all hours of the day and night with very little "me time", especially in the run-up to my last launch. It's not smart and it's taken a toll on my health.
Like many people in this business I've been operating in a "reactionary" manner with no control...
My day has been running me rather than the other way round as it should be.
Do you ever feel like that?
My motivation has suffered to the extent where I actually considered giving up IM completely... Eek! That is so not like me!
Determination is my middle name, lol!
So, I realise that I need to set some boundaries - proper working hours that I adhere to no matter what.
I need to take more time to relax. To really relax. And leave the "office" (aka the dining room) behind...
And I need to plan my work properly - at least a month in advance...
I haven't quite figured out how to achieve this yet as these things are always easier said than done, but at least it's a start.
If you ever feel like you're doing little more than spinning your wheels and have been for some time, then it's probably worth taking a step back to consider what it is that you want from your online business, what your goals are and whether you are on track to achieve them...
Once you have identified any problems, then you're halfway to finding the solution that is right for you :)
I'll write more about how you can do that soon :)
I'll leave you with a great motivational video:

To your success!

| | | About the Author: Sally Lazarus is an Internet Marketer, wife, mother and massive geek…
She started out as a programmer many moons ago, before the Internet as we know it today was born… No, not when dinosaurs roamed the Earth! She's not that old! How rude! :P
She's been working online since late 2011. She doesn't claim to know it all. She's still learning too, but she wants to share her knowledge with you and help you succeed online.
She's an ethical marketer and loves helping people to reach their goals. When she sends out a promotion it will always be well thought out, even if it means sending it a day or two after launch.
She will investigate it properly beforehand, get hold of a review copy or buy it herself. She wouldn't recommend anything that she didn't believe in or wouldn't use herself.
Her aim is to save you time by doing the research for you, to make it easier for you to figure out if a particular product is likely to be able to help you reach your goals.
