This coming Saturday July 19 - 10am-12md

  I'm off to the Fleurieu Peninsula on Saturday to run a Natural Skin Care Workshop - then view the local sites - including admiring the mighty ocean at Normanville and surrounds.  In winter the ocean is so inspiring and reflects the might of Nature. We are just so lucky in Australia to have such beautiful natural surrounds to enjoy. I also plan to have some lunch at one of the interesting local cafes and eateries. So if your weekend is looking a bit cold and boring - come join me?  The workshop is free - and you get to make and take home a whole bunch of skin care products!

Natural Skin Care Workshop - Saturday July 19 10am-12md 
Easy skin-care techniques and products – astringents, masks, scrubs, cleansers and moisturisers, Simple homemade cosmetics/skin creams, Make-at-home herbal skin products (from the garden), Hand-care and hand-creams, Making lip salves and creams.
Make & Take Home: Oatmeal bag, Oatmeal wash, Facial scrub, Beeswax Moisturiser, Lip Salve and Bath Salts!!
 (A recycled jar is essential for your take home products - please bring at least three small-medium recycled glass jars to the workshop)
Venue: Yankalilla Youth & Community Centre, South Rd Yankalilla

Unable to come to the workshop?  Here's a couple of the recipes I'll be mentioning in the workshop...

Oatmeal Skin Scrub/Cleanser:
Blend together: 4 teaspoons oatmeal, 1 tablespoon clear honey and water (to make a paste).
Apply to the face. Massage in gentle circular motions for approx. 5 minutes. Rinse off.

Variation: Mix one heaped teaspoon of pulped herbs (e.g. sage, parsley, thyme, rosemary) with 1 tablespoon almond or safflower oil and 4 tablespoons oatmeal.
