Chapters 1-5: Review of the most important elements in Chapters 1-4 that will be referenced in future chapters. Parzival’s first experiences with Anfortas (the Fisher King “whose life was but a dying”), Repanse de Schoye (queen and sister of Anfortas, the only person worthy to be the “Grail Bearer”), the Grail Castle (Munsalvaesche, “Mountain of Salvation”), and the Grail ritual. Parzival’s failure to ask the Question, and subsequent second encounter with Sigune.
