Chateau Petit Roubie 2018
Picpoul de Pinet
Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Say bonjour to your summertime white! Picpoul (means “lipstinger”) is noted for its high acidity and lemony fruit and used to be widely grown as a base for vermouth. This wine is crisp and bright, with with subtle floral and mineral notes on the nose. Château Petit Roubié's Picpoul embraces all of the aforementioned qualities, and is made from 100% certified organic grapes. Grown just meters from the oyster beds of the Bassin de Thau, the wine marries perfectly with fish and shellfish, but also try to cheese and chocolate.

Sicily, Italy
Sicily’s Mount Etna has an ancient winemaking culture, sharing Barolo’s tradition of long aging in massive old botti. Medium-bodied, dry. Starts with a lovely nose of baked cherry, Christmas spice, and orange peel, followed by coffee, smoked meat, and dusty red fruit on the palate. The gripping finish is still fresh and vibrant with plenty complexity. Pair with grilled meats, nightshade vegetables, and pasta Puttanesca.
