| Quick Notes
The Property Meld Owner Maintenance Portal opened up this week. We did hear from a few owners that they had not received an invite email in their inbox or junk/spam folders. Please just send us a quick message at owners@wilmothgroup.com if you have a property under management with WILMOTH and have not received that email!
Rental assistance programs are gearing up again. Neither Indy or Indiana has opened their sites yet. These sites ran out of funding last fall and will be funded with the stimulus funds passed at the end of 2020. As soon as they open we will be reaching out to delinquent tenants.
Some other interesting news this week. Don't know how this will play out but some Marion County Small Claims Judges are insisting that tenants who present the CDC provide proof of the qualifying factors (such as a loss of income). It is a small step but it might be the first filter applied to this process that is in the landlord's favor. As we were told, the Judges are catching on that this declaration is being taken advantage of.
The real surprising part of that is it took almost 6 months for that to become obvious.
