Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
And we expect a normal (pre-2020) Memorial Day! It is going to cost more to travel and cook out this weekend, but the Indy 500 is back at full capacity!. Gatherings of people are only limited by our own choices and not health orders. And in Indiana we have beautiful greens and spring colors everywhere!
Small bit of trivia you may not know. The U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs says that Memorial Day is celebrated in late May because that is when flowers will be blooming everywhere across America. In fact, the predecessor to Memorial Day (until 1868) was called Decoration Day. Decoration Day allowed citizens of the USA to decorate the graves of deceased veterans with fresh flowers!
This year, we have much to be thankful for. At 3pm, local time, Monday remember for just a moment those who died while serving in the U.S. military. If not for the freedoms they fought and earned for us, we would all surely have much different lives.
Always Remember!
