Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls of all ages,
Years ago the purple faithful circled this one on the calendar and the week has finally arrived. Northwestern versus Notre Dame under the lights at Ryan Field. It gets even better, Notre Dame is undefeated and ranked number 4 in the country behind three much better teams while Northwestern has firmly seized control of the Big Ten West.
The parking lot opens at 2:30pm and we’re expecting a raucous crowd, so please save yourself $5 and prepay on our Venmo account, @WestLot-Warriors. This one should be a dandy and the Warriors will be out in full force. You heard that right. Special guest attendance from the West Lot Warriors Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Michael Roche. In honor of this reunion, we’ve composed a short poem.

The Cats and the Irish do play
One is undefeated for 25 seasons
But who now shall take the day?
Fighting Irish, Fighting Irish? Is that racist?
It’s most certainly tasteless
Can’t root for those scoundrels
Surely evil flounders
And the Cats will take the dayGo Cats!!
