As I mention on our web site we claim to be able to help companies using SQL Server for Data Warehousing.
One of the areas we claim to be able to help with is ETL performance improvements.
This week we have released a detailed white paper on the ETL performance improvements we have been able to achieve with a local customer here in Bucharest.
It is quite a long blog post so I have also published it as an audio that you can listen to.
The highlight numbers are that we improved an ETL system that was taking 7 hours to run down to about 2.5 hours.
And over the period we have been supporting this customer we have also added a lot more data and a lot more processing to the ETL system.
So we think this is something really worth sharing with you and all companies here in Romania that have SQL server as their data warehouse database.
