We don’t know when the focus of our work shifted to ‘reinvention’ - only that it was in the last few years, probably since the wheels started falling off in various ways in our own lives. It wasn’t just that the two of us now have personal stories of overcoming tragedy and grief and cancer. It was that everywhere we turned, with our clients and friends and families, women were reporting similar challenges.
Growing out of these hardships was the hope of the human spirit. A desire to strive for recovery and change. To find resilience and forge new connections with a life we didn’t anticipate or imagine.
The theme of reinvention runs strong not only in our work and our lives, but even in Emma’s new novel, which was originally titled ‘The reinvention of Kate Whittaker’. There was a strong desire to write a character ‘like us’, who is grappling with something hard and finding her way through to a different, but equally rewarding ‘Plan B’ future.
Whether it’s fiction or reality, this is a topic that resonates with women who have runs on the board in life. It’s not something that only emerges out of difficulty. Sometimes reinvention is the byproduct of confidence. It can be the reward from years of hard work in our careers, or from having raised families and finding some breathing space.
Whatever brings you to this place - whether there’s some ‘white space’ ahead, or whether you’ve been through a lot, or you simply know something needs to change - we think you’ll love our new workshop.
Do you love a goodie bag as much as we do?
We’re putting together a fun ‘goodie bag’ and throwing in a copy of Emma’s new novel either for you, or to gift to a friend (she can sign it for you when we meet!)
We’d love you to grab some friends and join us in Canberra, Adelaide or Perth, so we can discover new paths and set a fresh course together. The best bit is, we won’t leave you after the workshop without careful follow-up. We’re giving you 30 days of individual coaching so you can start taking practical steps in your life immediately, with our help. This gift alone is worth over $200.
And to make it even easier, we’ve created a 2-payment plan for all of the workshops on this tour. Register for the workshops here.
