Maybe it’s getting back into a bit of a routine with school going back, and workplaces falling into the swing of the year, or maybe it’s just the crazy weather we’ve been having, but today's really the first day that we feel like we can get our 'head in the game' (of life in general!) It feels like there's a bit of 'breathing space' to think about some future plans and goals.
And here’s the thing:
When we look around us, we see a lot of evidence that things have been full-on for a while. Evidence that we've kept things going on the surface, while paddling madly underneath. There are so many areas in life that we now want to work on, and work through. It’s not the first time in life that we’ve felt like this but, in the past, it would seem overwhelming. These days, we know that if we apply our My 15 Minutes approach — small steps, taken consistently — every day will feel a step closer to where we want things to be again.
It really doesn't take long for these little actions to build into a completely different picture. That growing sense of confidence and feeling of self-reliance and resourcefulness is priceless. We all get knocked off our perch every so often, and the clambering back is much easier when we're kind to ourselves and take manageable steps.
