We subscribe to Tut’s ‘Notes from the Universe’ and this recent one was particularly poignant:
“There's so much time in a day …

You could have breakfast, lunch, and dinner on 3 different continents.

You could outline the book you're going to write, start the screenplay adaptation, and watch "Gone With The Wind" before the sun even sets.

Spend a day at work, and still have 16 hours left over.

Hey, the record for climbing Mt. Everest is under 9 hours, leaving 15 to nap and go Yeti searching. There's so much time in a day. So much.”
Isn’t it refreshing to read that? We’re so conditioned into thinking our time is limited, that we’re too busy, that there aren’t enough hours in the day.

But there is plenty of time. The thing that often needs tweaking is our approach to how we use it. When we see people who we regard as productive, we wonder how they do it. Usually it’s by focusing first on the main act in their schedule. The ‘little things’ will still get done (or they won’t, and it won’t really matter). But if we don’t think first about the big stuff, we’re destined for frustration.

So dine in three continents today, or climb Everest – or just spend a few hours on the ‘bang for buck’ thing on your list, so you get to tonight feeling like you’ve really made progress. It’s that feeling that is the magic of productivity, because getting momentum really is the secret.

Have a great week!
