Subject: Friend find out what's new this week 💌 - SimplyCubaTours

Hola Friend,

Como fue tu semana? Hopefully nice and relaxing, not too stressful. Anyone would think that the virus has slowed things down... and whilst many things have literally stopped, with the restart I am finding that there are changes happening so quick, that something I may want to share with you just after I sent the last newsletter are no longer valid by the time we get to the next newsletter!

We are trying to keep up with the changes as much as possible, and will always send you the latest and greatest we have... that's not to say that by the time I press send something didn't just change... 😲

And the US elections kinda halted the world.... let's hope we get some sort of positive outcome!

Travel updates!

Whilst I haven't seen this from official channels, it seems that 10 November may just be the date for Havana opening. This was announced at a conferenced held by the Ministry of Tourism for German Travel agencies. Let's hope they stick with it and announce it officially shortly.

The re-opening of most airports is certainly causing havoc in Mexico, where Viva Aerobus has been taking double bookings for their planes leaving many people stuck waiting for the opportunity to get to Cuba as per their plans.

Just as UK travelers have started enjoying their their trips back into Cuba, finding a new carrier - Tui - who replaced Thomas Cook. They are now back on lockdown for a month. I really hope for those who made it to Cuba that they can get back home as per their plans.

Australia on the other hand started to have a little bit more of a normality returning with loosening some of the internal border requirements. They may just be able to make that planned international border open by Christmas!

And now to add to the fun of it all in Cuba, Cyclone Eta looks to be heading that was in the next week. Oh what fun! Will have to keep a close eye on that...

On a good note, we have reached out to various partners to be able to provide you with complementary services like travel insurance, flights, and even airport drop offs. So watch this space in the coming weeks as we can start supporting your travels better!

This week I have a challenge for you!

Whilst I am always hopeful that you'd like to travel with us and enjoy one of our tours and share our passion of the Cuban life, culture and nature, I have noticed a trend on our Facebook page with regard to 'all inclusive hotel stays'.

As I have mentioned before, we do not offer those, because we are passionate about showing you the real Cuba. Getting you out and mingling with the locals. Enjoy the music, have conversations with the people. Discover various parts of the islands and do with our local born and bred guides who have first hand knowledge of the place.

So if you are normally a hotel stayer, I want to challenge you to get out of your comfort zone! Not only because I think it is a lot more fun, but because you could have a lot more benefits doing so...

What's on the blog this week?

Have you heard of Santa Clara? It is a great town, one best known for Che Guevara. There is a mausoleum in this town to show of Che's life. But the place is a lot more than that! And there is a lot more to see than just Revolution Square. Read the blog to find out what else is waiting for you here...
