There was no new travel updates this week, apart from some glimmer of hope with airlines announcing that they will start flying to Havana again. In saying that, we are yet to see a new schedule for these given that most countries around the world are back on lockdown.
The three provinces - Pinar del Rio, Ciego de Avila and Sancti Spiritus are still closed, with no signs of re-opening, especially as there has been 71 new cases reported yesterday.
One clarification on the requirements as last week's update was a little unclear from the travel advisory on timelines. So there is a PCR test on arrival, then you are required to do another 48 hours later and isolate from arrival till you get the results. In total that is 5 days in isolation with the 2 PCR tests. It's not the best thing, if you only have a short break, but may be worth it if you are going for a longer period.
On the blog this week we have an article about things to do in Cienfuegos. It is a beautiful beach town with French architecture and amazing art. I love the original paintings I bought here last time, so vibrant and beautiful. It is also well positioned to some natural wonders around like the Topes de Collantes National Park.
