Despite the current marketing gold rush that is Facebook right now, there
are some things that you’ll want to be aware of that can save you a lot
of time, money and aggravation.

Here’s the thing:

Facebook is a social platform. As you probably know, your fans are on
Facebook to be social, not necessarily to be sold anything. That’s what
Google and Amazon are for.

And if you tried at all tried to make money directly off of your fan pages,
you’ve probably noticed that its a lot harder than it appears to be.

So… how do you monetize your fan pages?

It’s actually quite simple- you have to monetize your fans OFF of
Facebook.

And the best way to do that is to build an email list of your fans.

Now, there are two ways to go about doing this:

1. You can post links to squeeze pages directly on your fanpage.

This can work, however you’ll likely experience extremely poor conversion
rates and few optins due to your page not being on Facebook (lack of
trust).
