Hi Friend,
I was that sales person that HATED to SELL!!!! Every time I thought of selling my palms sweated and my pulse raced...I was terrified to appear pushy or worse I was mortified you might think I was was rude for even asking.
Does that surprise you?
Yup from the first time I went out on the sales floor to help with the overflow and sold my first dress knowing nothing about sales
I have had an entire career of creating territories from scratch and for most of it I felt I couldn't ask for a glass of water never mind a sale????
It was stressful and I even went into therapy to overcome my fears. It was so bad my therapist suggested I might consider a career change.
I said this is what I want how do I fix it?
Do you feel that way about your business you love your business but you hate to sell?
Do you tell yourself you don't sell?
Saying that and feeling that way is like running a marathon holding a boulder the entire way.
It is exhausting and it held me back even though I was very successful at sales.
I wasn't having fun and spend most of my time stressing out about it
I learned to change my belief about what sales really was and that is when sales became fun and became a calling for me
Changing my belief and learning what selling really is not what i thought or was told sales was when things began to happen in a world class way.
I learned I could attract my ideal clients and I could get them to ask me to sit down with them to have a "sales" conversation and help them make a buying decision with me.
Do you have this relationship with selling? If not would you like to?
