In fact, I know it’s completely normal because that is exactly how I felt when I first got started back in the recession of 1999….I remember being a new corporate sales person for a technology company working straight commission. I had just returned to work after a car accident that left me unable to work for a year, so I was truly starting over at 27.
I felt awkward, unsure of what value I had to give to the business community; I had a monthly quota, rent and car to pay for and had no network to market to. My market was super competitive, and I had to figure out what made me different.
Networking has been the most valuable and profitable tool I have ever been given. It has created an incredible life for me and my clients while allowing us to grow in confidence that clients will always come, and our success always available and we are only one relationship away from whatever we need, no matter our circumstances even a global pandemic.
