Danielle from Rwanda is one of those women. She joined a Group because she had to find a way to support her family after her husband lost his job.
Using the business and agricultural knowledge she gained, Danielle started a sorghum business. She buys the grain directly from farmers, processes it, and sells it for a profit in the market. She also produces and sells sorghum beer, a soft drink similar to root beer.
The success of her business is enabling improvements to her home, which benefits her entire family. By being part of a Savings Group, she has also gained confidence and a supportive community. |
