Subject: What’s impossible for us?

Greetings,

As I was driving to work recently, the cool air and autumn leaves falling from the trees were a

reminder of how quickly the year is ending. As I reflect on the growth we have experienced this last year, my heart overflows with gratitude.

Like many others, we began the year wondering about the trajectory of COVID-19, and I

wondered how it would impact our efforts to transform lives through microenterprise

development. As expected, we were hindered in some ways, but we were not stopped. Our

program partners worldwide and Savings Group members are persevering every day,

determined to learn, achieve, and transform.

Over the course of this single year, amidst a global pandemic, adult literacy and microfinance training continued, sometimes even using text messages and WhatsApp! Trauma healing

training has expanded so more group members are learning to cope, share, and trust. Many

more businesses have emerged, so many more communities are transforming.

If we can continue making an impact through one of the most difficult times, I can only imagine what our trajectory will be for next year. For this, I am grateful and excited.

Until next week,

Dale Stanton-Hoyle
