Subject: We're all hunting for something.

Dear Friend,

This year our granddaughter had fun at her first Easter egg hunt. At less than two years old, she didn’t quite know what was going on, but she seemed to enjoy hunting for something special. In many ways we are all doing the same: hunting for something special.

So at this time of year, when flowers are exploding, and when choirs are getting their voices (and even their bells) ready for the celebration of Easter, it makes me think of our partners and program participants worldwide and what they are doing the same way…and differently.

Different experiences, because some, in areas of drought or tremendous increases in the cost of basic food, are simply hunting for food to keep their kids well nourished. Others are hunting for jobs, and many are grateful that they can create their own jobs. Some of our partners are hunting for fuel that hasn’t inflated so much that they can still drive to meet with program leaders in the most distant villages…often in places after the road has run out.

Similar experiences, because we all want our lives to be meaningful. We all are hunting for ways to help those around us and to leave this world a little better off.

So, as we enjoy this special Easter time of year, may we all slow down enough to hunt for what is most important, what makes us better, and what transforms us to help others be better as well.

Blessings, Dale
