“I was poor…I could not be with others, I did not have clean clothes and I was ashamed to attend church…When I first joined the (Five Talents) program, I did not see the importance of literacy. I was an adult who could not read or write, but this new knowledge has led me to be able to dream about the future. Now I wear proper clothes and I am not ashamed to meet others. When people work together, things become easier. My savings group is a place of relief. We discuss our ideas and support each other. Now I live in a house with a metal roof, I can pay the school fees of my five children and my family has something to eat without any problems.”
