Dear Friend,

Yesterday, this verse in Galatians immediately came to mind as we received some incredible news. . . Five Talents was awarded a USAID grant focusing on programmatic work in the Tsavo Conservation Area of Kenya!  

We congratulate and celebrate the rigorous and patient work done by our Kenyan team to facilitate this significant award. This funding will establish our microenterprise programs in new communities in southern Kenya. It was a long process, fraught with moments of uncertainty that all the painstaking efforts would even bear fruit.  I’m sure many of you can relate to this feeling.

The Bible is filled with stories of waiting.  In this context waiting is never lost time, but rather a transformative opportunity for God to work.

I am grateful for this reminder with the USAID award.  I am particularly thankful it did not take 40 years in the desert!  Please join me in celebrating God’s provision for our work.
