Friend,

Girl Scout cookie season is upon us, as evidenced in my pantry! As a former Girl Scout, I admit that I was a little obsessed with earning my badges, each one representing a new skill I had mastered or an act of service that developed my character. 

Fast forward, decades later my inner Girl Scout is filled with deep pride that Five Talents has earned important badges. This 2024, Five Talents has been honored with several Platinum ratings, the highest rating a nonprofit organization can achieve. These “seals of approval” from various monitoring organizations means that we have passed stringent tests for transparency, donor confidence, and fiscal management. 

Our namesake verse of the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25) centers around the idea that God calls us to be wise and faithful stewards of what we have been given. This ethos of good stewardship is a commitment reflected from our program methodology to the way we endeavor to raise funds. 

To each of you that has chosen to partner with us in our work to eradicate poverty, thank you for trusting us. We hope to continue to learn and grow as we do this work together.
