Father's Day is this Sunday, and while 80% of Five Talents program participants are women, we also hear many stories of empowerment from men, including fathers, who are a part of these programs.
Meet David, a husband and father of two living in South Sudan. Just a few years ago, David says, he wasn't able to put food on the table for his family, buy them clothes, or cover the fees for his children to go to school. No matter what he tried, David struggled to pull his family out of poverty.
But their story changed when David joined a Five Talents savings group. Not only did he gain the tools needed to start a successful business supplying seeds and equipment to farmers in his community, but David also received prayer, encouragement, and renewed faith.
