Have you ever wondered how Five Talents was started?  

I want to share with you this video from Reverend Martyn Minns, one of our founders, recorded in honor of our 25th Anniversary event. He recalls how the idea for Five Talents came about and how this organization was born, 25 years ago, from conversations between Minns and Tanzanian Bishop Simon Chiwanga about the overwhelming poverty in his diocese. 

They wanted to empower the church to impactfully respond to the problems of extreme poverty. These discussions were further developed at the Lambeth Conference of the global Anglican Church. The Archbishop of Canterbury became Five Talents' first advocate.

As we close out our 25th year, I want to leave you with this thought: Five Talents has reached over 1.4 million people with our life-affirming programs. We could not have achieved this important milestone without you.
