Subject: Goodbye to Dave Chaves

Dear friends,

It’s time to say goodbye to a dear co-worker who has been with us at Five Talents in Virginia for six years.

If you have appreciated any of these Monday messages, they looked good because of Dave. If you were inspired by the beautiful photos we’ve shared from around the world, Dave worked on most of those, too. If you were caught up, as I was, in the soaring videos with powerful music, almost all of that was Dave.

But even more important, not everyone knows that Dave’s deep faith and his time he lived in Kenya informed everything he produced. It helped us make our communications with all of you more accurate, more culturally appropriate, and better at capturing the unique talents of our partners around the world. We have also benefited from the expertise of Dave’s wife Lucy (whom many of you have seen in our videos), and we are grateful that Lucy will continue to work with us occasionally.

We are grateful that Dave is now able to share his deep skill and experience with the C.S. Lewis Institute. They will certainly benefit as we have. Still, I don’t really feel like this is goodbye. As we all continue to work to bring about a better world, I sense that this is only, “Until we see you again, Dave. Blessings on your journey!”

Until next Monday morning,

Dale Stanton-Hoyle
