Subject: What happens when we ask students about abortion

Changing Hearts One Conversation at a Time

At weDignify, we seek to change hearts and save lives. We know that changing hearts comes from not just talking, but also listening to people who don’t share our pro-life stance on abortion.

That’s why weDignify students participate in Daring Greatly - an evening where participants go out in pairs and ask students around campus to talk with them about abortion.

weDignify Director of Mission Formation Sarah Conover shares:

We Dare Greatly to encounter hearts about abortion. Our goal is to change our culture to one of a culture of life. In order to do that, we need to change hearts. We change hearts when we encounter the people in our community, our campus, with love, understanding, and dignity. We are able to meet them where they are at in their views, and in communicating truth with charity, move them forward to a culture of life.

weDignify students use the education and mentoring they have gained and invite students to more deeply consider an issue that they may or may not have spent a lot of time thinking through.

"We listened to two women who were passionate about helping mothers during pregnancy, but leaned more pro-choice... after speaking with them, they mentioned that conversations like the one we just had were important and is what we need more of nowadays" -Margarita P.

"There are people out there who say they are pro-choice, but reveal their pro-life tendencies when they begin to speak about why they think they are pro-choice" - Chris B.

These conversations are essential to encouraging more people to recognize and value each and every human life.

Will you join us in praying for all of the students weDignify had conversations with this Spring? Let us know if you’ll pray with us - we’d love to hear from you!
