Subject: Wayfarers ❤️ Unity Newsletter for August 17-23, 2020

AUGUST 17-23, 2020

LAST WEEK AT THE CHAPEL

As we continue to meet on the deck, we walk in faith each Sunday that the sun will be shining for the 10 am service.

At 9 am this past Sunday we had 30 seconds of rain at the chapel, but by 10 am the sun was shining and a light breeze blowing. Can I get an "Amen"?!

Chris Casses blessed us with his beautiful guitar music.

And our speaker, Garnett Nash, offered insight into how it is we get led around by our ego, the reality that we have CHOICE in all things, and how we can use the power of choice to initiate and fuel the process of "letting go" of anything and everything that is not in alignment with what we want for our lives.

Garnett's talk will be available online in a few days.

THIS SUNDAY AT THE CHAPEL  – AUGUST 23rd

(Hand sanitizer and masks are available at the table at the entrance.) In order to ensure the 6' distance between persons of different households, RSVPs are required for Sunday services.

MISSING MIMI'S "CLOSING THOUGHTS"?

Many of you have connected with Mimi directly or talked with Board members or to express your appreciation for Mimi’s “Closing Thoughts” in the newsletter thru the years and how much you miss hearing her viewpoints regularly. While Mimi is busy transitioning into her new life in Hoschton, Georgia and is no longer issuing the newsletter, she is continuing to write a monthly column for the Tribune and even considering writing a blog when she settles into her new home and routine a bit more. If you are interested in receiving Mimi’s writings, please contact her directly at maryphillips478@gmail.com.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Yesterday I was clever,

so I wanted to change the world.

Today I am wise,

so I am changing myself.
