SEPTEMBER 14-20, 2020

LAST WEEK AT THE CHAPEL

Can you believe it? 16 consecutive Sundays on the deck learning, sharing, and growing together! Yes, the rain came today, but it kindly waited until 10 minutes AFTER the service ended!

What a treat! Dave Stewart shared some of his original works and has allowed us to post them on the Wayfarers website. In case you missed it, click here to listen to a snipit of Dave's music.

Kate then shared her thoughts on "Riding the Wave" - what it means - and how to do it.

A few tidbits from Kate's talk

In "Finding Inner Courage" Mark Nepo says "We can only discover capacity and meaning of our courage in the context of our struggles." . . . In a sense, then, we must ride the wave of our inner struggles to perceiver in the midst of sometimes unspeakable odds. Sometimes it means to face our own demons and to recognize our own self-defeating behaviors. And to do that we must always realize that we have a choice between what appears to be duality - or opposites - but are not. . . . So here is how we ride the waves. We make a decision between judgement or compassion for ourselves and others.
