Subject: Wayfarers ❤️ Newsletter Sept 19-25, 2022

Welcome to the

Wayfarers Unity Chapel

Newsletter for Sept 19-25, 2022

THIS WEEK & COMING SOON

9/25 - SUNDAY SERVICE - 10 AM

Crowe Capps provides his deeply meditative guitar melodies this Sunday. April Conner's message is "Thinking Better of Ourselves."

10/9 - DEATH CAFE (2-4 PM)

Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes - and no intent to lead participants to any particular conclusion, product, or course of action.

Come drink tea and eat cake (a nod to Death Cafe's British origins) and talk openly and confidentially about all things death related.

This session is facilitated by Jan Brewer, M.A., CMT and Teresa Weiser, Ed.D. For further information please contact Jan at (510) 684-5555 and/or visit www.deathcafe.com.

LAST WEEK

SUNDAY SERVICE

Chris Casses provided our music and Rev. Dr. Kate Greysen challenged us to consider what our individual legacy will be - and what, if anything, we wish to change in our lives to create a legacy we want.

CICADA RHYTHM

We closed out the season of Concerts on the deck with a crowd enjoying the unique sounds of Cicada Rhythm. We look forward to another season of fun starting in May or June of 2023.

  • Content has been updated.

  • Easy access to most recent newsletter

  • Easy access to chapel documents such as Board Meeting Minutes

  • Videos organized by date - pages changed for ease of access.

Please note, we are now able to upload videos and will resume with April Conner's talk this week. It may take a while, but we will add the talks from July-Sept as soon as possible.

BOARD NOMINATIONS

SEEKING NOMINEES for BOARD OF DIRECTORS!

Our Board of Directors works diligently to ensure all Wayfarers experience excellent speakers & musicians and positive experiences such as Potlucks, Coffee Hour, REIKI sessions, and the concert series to feed bodies and soul -- all in a safe, well-maintained environment. These are the folks who make the decisions about the direction of the chapel and the day-to-day operation.

New Board Members will begin serving 1/1/2023.

Every Wayfarer is eligible to nominate themselves or another Wayfarer to serve on the Board. Please do not assume that since you mentioned a possible nominee to someone 6 or 7 months ago that that was enough. Sad to say, but sometimes memories take a vacation. SO, think about who you would like to see serving on the board and nominate them by CLICKING HERE or by contacting one of the current Board Members.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
