| LAST WEEK AT THE CHAPEL Chris Casses both entertained and brought us fully present with his guitar and vocals. Rev. Kate Greysen then helped us explore the difference between knowing a thing and being the thing that we know. | | | | SUNDAY SERVICE - NOVEMBER 15th We look forward to sharing another wonderful gathering of the Wayfarers family this Sunday as Crowe Capps provides his gorgeous music and Dee Daley shares her insight and humor with us. CLICK HERE TO RESERVE A SEAT for THIS SERVICE Please include the names of those requesting attendance and whether they are sitting solo or together. Dress warmly or bring a coat, scarf, or shawl as fans will be blowing and doors will be open unless it is extremely cold outside or rain is blowing into the building. PLEASE do not move the chairs. This is the only way we can fit this many people in the building safely! Please enter thru front door and exit thru deck doors. Tempting though it may be, try not to congregate near the doors. Please continue to observe 6' spacing and the wearing of face masks. Hand sanitizer and masks are available at the front door. | FUND RAISER to HELP BUILD THE WALL AND WALKWAYS We recently modified the main bathroom to make it handicap accessible ($855) and added hot water to both bathrooms. Then we had to remove the dying hemlock to protect both of the chapels ($1200). We planned accessibility improvements to the walkways for early 2021 ($5800). And then, as most of you know, hurricane Delta dropped 9" of water in Rabun county which resulted in the destruction of the sea wall which protects the chapel from the creek. Repair of the sea wall is estimated to be $3000 and should be complete in the next few weeks. | | While we are in good condition financially and blessed to have sufficient funds to cover these planned and unexpected expenses, it does put a big dent in our bank account, so we have started a fund drive in hopes of raising at least $5000 to help offset the $11,000 in upgrades and repairs. As of Sunday morning when we kicked off the drive we already have $550 in the fund and we got a few more donations after the service. If you are able and led by spirit to do so, we invite you to make a contribution to the fund by dropping your offering in the basket at the chapel or sending a check to Wayfarers Unity Chapel, PO Box 474, Dillard, GA 30537. | | ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING | | The Annual Membership Meeting was held immediately following the Sunday morning service. Outgoing Board Chair Marie Dunkle gave us an update on this past year's highlights and challenges and a brief look forward to the coming year. Treasurer Mereta Alspaugh gave a brief financial report. We then thanked outgoing board members, Marie Dunkle, Mereta Alspaugh, Anne Kirslis, and Chris Casses for their years of loving, dedicated service to the chapel and welcomed the new board. A short video of the Annual meeting will be available on the website later this week. | | | | Ruth Henry, Sandy Thomas, Barbara Beckham, Teresa Weiser, David Stearns

Patience, kindness, veracity, humility, good will, peace, harmony, and brotherly love are attributes and qualities which never grow old. If you continue to generate these qualities here on this plane of life, you will always remain young in spirit. Joseph Murphy, Ph.D., D.D. The Power of Your Subconscious Mind |
