LAST SUNDAY AT THE CHAPEL

Meta and Dan Walton shared their musical gifts with us this week.

And Donna Corso reminded us that as we move through this time of transition in our world, it is time we release our connection to fear and dream a new dream - a bright new dream of life the way we want it to be.

Donna's talk will be available online in a few days at https://wayfarersunity.org/wayfarers-unity-sunday-talks.html

SUNDAY SERVICE - NOVEMBER 29

Marie Dunkle is our musician this week. It is always a curiosity and delight to see which of her many musical instruments will appear for our listening pleasure.

This is Discussion Sunday. Anne Kirslis will guide our discussion as we talk about our coping strategies and what has helped us get thru 2020 thus far. Bring your ideas ready to share and be prepared to hear something that may help make your life in these times even more enjoyable.

CLICK HERE TO RESERVE A SEAT for THIS SERVICE  Please include the names of those requesting attendance and whether they are sitting solo or together.

Remember, fans are ON and doors are OPEN, so dress accordingly. Please enter thru the front door and exit thru deck doors and leave chairs exactly where they are.

Please continue to observe 6' spacing and the wearing of face masks. Hand sanitizer and masks are available at the front door.

FUND RAISER!

With $1772 in donations, we are 35% of the way to our goal of $5000 to help cover the costs of the seawall reconstruction completed this week and changes to chapel bathrooms and walkways. While the bathroom and walkway changes were initially focused on improving access for those with physical disabilities, these changes will ultimately benefit us all as we age together with this place we dearly love.

If you are able and led by spirit to do so, we invite you to make a contribution to the fund by dropping your offering in the basket at the chapel, sending a check to Wayfarers Unity Chapel, PO Box 474, Dillard, GA 30537, or via PayPal. Please mark donations for "Building Fund".

FOOD DRIVE

You can help out a local person/family in need this Christmas season by donating a few cans or boxed food items during our food drive that will be held on the following Sundays (11/29, 12/6, 12/13, and 12/20).  Bring your food items to the chapel on Sunday and leave them on the back counter. Please ensure all foods are non-perishable and within date. Donated food items will be delivered weekly to the Sharing is Caring Food Bank located in Clayton which is one of three local foodbanks that our Rabun county residents can use when in need and experiencing food hunger.  If we all bring in one or two cans or boxed food items for these four Sundays, we can really assist in this worthwhile cause and help a person/family out in need. -- “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.” Mother Teresa

CHRISTMAS SERVICES

Our Wayfarers Chapel Christmas Holiday service is always a popular event and a full house. This year it will be held the morning of December 20. Because of continuing Covid-19 restrictions, we will be offering two separate services that morning and each will be different. You will have a choice of attending a Sacred Service at 9 am or our Celebration Service at 10 am. So please note and plan to RSVP for one service very soon as they will fill up.

Sacred Holiday Service - Dec 20 at 9:00 am ..... A Sacred Holiday Service will be offered and led by Rev. Tom Tyre. This will be primarily a pensive time of quiet meditation and gratitude, acknowledging the birth of the great teacher, Jesus, and welcoming the light. Attendees will be asked to quietly depart at the end of the 40 minute service to make room for the next group.

Celebration Service - Dec 20 at 10:00 am ..... A Celebration Service will be offered and led by Marie Dunkle. This will be an hour of special music and inspiring short readings by several of our Wayfarers. Covid restrictions prevent any group singing inside, but some of our finest musicians will grace us with their instruments and solo voices. If you have an interest in doing a short (3 to 5 minute) holiday story or reading, please contact Marie Dunkle to be added to the agenda (mdunkle@mindspring.com or 770-335-0967). If you have music talents or a special song to offer for our Celebration Service, please contact Chris Casses (chris.casses@gmail.com or 828-200-4543.).

You may attend either the 9:00 am Sacred Service or the 10:00 am Celebration Service. Making a reservation is as easy as clicking YES! RESERVE MY SPOT for the CHRISTMAS SERVICE and telling us which service you would like to attend and who will be in your party. A link will also be available on our website www.wayfarersunity.org. Please respond early as one or both services are likely to fill up fast!

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Feeling grateful throughout the day keeps us focused on our blessings and the presence of God in and through all things, helps us rise above whatever we may be facing, and gives a feeling of deep peace.

In this moment, what are you grateful for?

Wayfarers Unity Chapel is entirely supported by free-will offerings. We are richly blessed by the people in our fellowship who give, and we are grateful for your gifts. If you would like to contribute financially to support this ministry, please place your love offering in one of the donation baskets at the Chapel entrance.

If you prefer to make your donation electronically, please visit the www.wayfarersunity.org DONATIONS page and select the yellow "Donate" button.

Tax deductible donations may also be mailed to Wayfarers Unity Chapel, PO Box 474, Dillard, GA 30537. There are self addressed envelopes at the Donation Center which may be used to mail your gift.
