THIS WEEK

SUNDAY SERVICE ( 10 AM )

Katharine Brown and Chris Casses will provide our music this Sunday. Then, Garnett Nash will facilitate our discussion about love. From the Beatles to Soren Kirkegaard, this will be a metaphysical and existential look at the subject of love.

MEDITATION GROUP - Mondays ( 6-7 PM )

Experienced meditation leaders guide us weekly, introducing forms and approaches to support, build, and deepen meditation practice. Sessions are held in the peaceful setting of our Rosemary's Chapel building, are open to the public, and no experience is necessary. It’s complimentary, so try us and enjoy!

WRITERS GROUP - Tuesdays ( 5-6:30 PM )

The Wayfarers Writers Group meets from 5-6:30 PM every Tuesday. The group is open to writers of all ages, experience levels, and genres and is a great opportunity to challenge yourself to a new level.

BOARD MEETING

NOVEMBER 19 at 4 PM (Tuesday)

Board Meeting - The Board will meet in the main chapel on December 19th at 4PM. All wayfarers are welcome to attend. If you have something for the Board to review, please contact a Board member at least a few days in advance of the meeting.

OUR HOLIDAY CELEBRATION SERVICE

DECEMBER 22 at 10 AM (Sunday)

On December 22, the Sunday before Christmas, our Wayfarers Chapel tradition is to have a service of holiday music and special readings presented by members of our Wayfarers family. Would you enjoy sharing a short reading or performing a special music piece that Sunday morning? If so, please contact our Celebration Service coordinators Katharine Brown and Marie Dunkle by December 7.

If music is your thing, call Katharine at 828-421-4178. (She can even find someone to accompany, if you like.)

OPELSKE

During the Fall, our Opelske team works diligently to keep the leaves from piling up at Wayfarers Chapel. Volunteer crews of 2-3 people come each week, on Saturdays, to clear off the sidewalks and decks. They also work throughout the rest of the year maintaining the plants around the chapel. We are very grateful for this group's dedication and service. If you are interested in helping, please sign up with Joyce Oliver (828.200.9160) or Sandy Thomas (407.786.4364).

COMING UP

NOVEMBER 20 from 4:00-6:00 PM (Wednesday)

Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing of body and mind. Experienced practitioners will offer sessions at the chapel on Wednesday, November 20, from 4-6 PM. Sessions are free. Donations to support the chapel are accepted.

DECEMBER 13 from 6:30-8:30 PM (Friday)

Join the Wayfarers Writers Group on Friday, December 13 from 6:30-8:30 PM as The Reading Room is open! Members of the writers group will be sharing selected works with a refreshment break in the middle.

DECEMBER 15 from 3-6 PM (Sunday)

Christmas Party at the home of Marie Dunkle and Barbara Beckham – Potluck with "ornament exchange". More details closer to the date, but for now start looking for that perfect ornament for the ornament exchange!

LAST WEEK

This past Sunday, we enjoyed the music of Sweet Charity.

Charlotte Starfire presented the message "The Grace of Humor". It will be available online later this week.
