We opened with a meditation of LOVE - filling first ourselves, then the chapel, Rabun and Franklin Counties, and spreading out across the US into Canada and Mexico, across the waters, north and south, until the entire world was surrounded - filled with LOVE.
Joyce Oliver reminded us of the power and gift of lifting our voices together in word and song as she led us in familiar tunes and a powerful reading.
Lisa Ezzard explored "The Road Less Travelled" and how it is that all must seek their own path to spiritual growth and yet all seek (and need) community. Once finding a community of supportive and perhaps like-minded beings, there is a tendency to "stop seeking". Our challenge is to live as our true selves within community - always appreciating the support of community, yet never yielding to rote rituals or set patterns - always being true to ourselves on our spiritual path. Lisa's talk will be online this weekend. |
