| | | | LAST SUNDAY AT THE CHAPEL Chris Casses started us off with his wonderful guitar music. Brenda Smith then shared with us her lessons about self-esteem and self-worth -- and the difference between the two -- in her talk "Green Bean Currency". | | Brenda's talk should be available online Tuesday at Sunday Talks. | THIS SUNDAY - MARCH 7 We are delighted to have Andrew & Catlin Bayles back to share their amazing music, and Lisa Ezzard will speak to us about "Honoring Our Yearnings".
Remember, fans are ON and doors are OPEN, so dress accordingly. (Maybe even bring a warm blanket in case you are near one of the doors.)
Please enter thru the front door and exit thru deck doors and leave chairs exactly where they are. If you were confirmed for a double and don't see one, please check with one of the board members.
Please continue to observe 6' spacing and the wearing of face masks. Hand sanitizer and masks are available at the front door. | | IN MEMORIUM - Sid Neville Sidney Brooks Neville, a long-time friend of Wayfarers Unity Chapel, passed away on February 16, 2021. Sid was a dedicated leader, served on the Chapel board of directors, and delighted in sharing his skills and other gifts. He led the original “sea wall” project to ensure the integrity of our chapel building and was a generous supporter and provider of thoughtful advice. We honor Sid and are grateful for his time with Wayfarers.
Sid was a native of Rabun County, a retired educator, a loving husband to Martha, father of three sons and one daughter, grandfather to ten, and great-grandfather to seven. Notably, Sid LOVED his dogs, and his family suggested that donations to his memory be made to Rabun Paws 4 Life Inc. Online condolences can be made at maconfuneralhome.com | SPRING IS COMING! As we awaken from the slower resting rhythms of Winter, so too do our Chapel grounds. Currently, new green shoots are peeking out from beneath Winter's leaf covering, and soon wildflowers will abound. This beautiful space of ours is not just a wonderful chapel in the woods for Sunday services, but a beautiful, relaxing natural space where plants of many, many varieties thrive and the soul can find peace. Come and walk the grounds frequently this spring taking in the ever-changing sights and the ever-present peace.
Our Opelske team lovingly tends the grounds throughout the year to keep the space safe and beautiful. All are welcome to join the team. The first Opelske first meeting of the season is Saturday, March 20th at 10 am at the chapel. We will be setting up work dates and teams and will work for 1 hour. Please RSVP to Joyce Oliver (828) 200-9160 or Sandy Thomas (407) 786-4364 if you are interested in coming to the meeting and/or working with the Opelske team. | NEW WALKWAY As one of the final pieces of our accessibility project, the new walkway from the parking lot to the chapel and from the chapel to the restrooms is slated to be done this week. This, of course, is dependent on the rain being so kind as to give us a three-day reprieve! But whether it is this week or next, we know all things happen in good time! | PRAYER GROUP The Wayfarers Prayer Group is available to hold you, a friend, or a loved one in affirmative prayer in time of need. If you wish to receive prayerful support, please contact Anne Krislis at (404) 510-2670 or adeeney424@aol.com | | | | | THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK "Look for the answer inside your question." |
