ANIMALS at the CHAPEL

Wayfarers is a dog friendly establishment. In fact, we are so accustomed to dogs at the chapel that we may occasionally forget that not everyone is comfortable with dogs ... that some dogs do not appreciate being approached ... some dogs just flat out don't like specific other dogs ... or that service dogs should not be approached by people or other animals.

So, as our chapel grows and more dogs join us, just a few reminders ...

  1. All animals are to be on a leash held by an attentive human when in the chapel.

  2. Only well behaved, well socialized dogs in chapel, please.

  3. If you see a designated service dog (usually marked on a vest or collar), please do not attempt to pet or engage the dog as this may interfere with their responsibilities to their companion.

  4. When meeting a new dog, ask before reaching to love on the dog as the dog may not be comfortable with other people or may be an unmarked service dog.

  5. If you bring a dog that is not well socialized to the chapel, please keep them on a leash at all times while on the grounds. Also, when you are in service or enjoying an event, please ensure your dog is safe in your vehicle with appropriate ventilation, temperature, and water as necessary.
