LAST WEEK

We enjoyed music by Ruth Henry and then Garnett Nash facilitated our discussion on the "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz.

The Four Agreements:

Be impeccable with your word.

Don't take anything personally.

Don't make assumptions.

Always do your best.

We don't typically post Discussion Sundays on the website; however, for the next two weeks, you can use the links in this newsletter to view the MUSIC and the DISCUSSION.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

Everything is connected.

Every day we do things, experience things, and interact with others, but it is virtually impossible to know the far-reaching effects of our words and actions. Month's ago we asked Wayfarers for recommendations for songs they would like to hear/sing-along-with at the chapel. One of those recommendations was "If I Were Brave", the last song of Sunday's music. Interestingly, it was a recommendation for a Wayfarer who is rarely with us in person.

It didn't make it onto the video, but at the end of the song, Joyce radiantly exclaimed that the song was written by Jana Stanfield and first sung [live] by Jana at Wayfarers Chapel [decades ago], AND - ever notice those nameplates on the backs of the the chairs? - Joyce was actually sitting behind the seat dedicated in Jana Stanfield's honor!

When we look at those chair nameplates, we tend to think of those Wayfarers who built and supported the chapel years before most of us found our way here. But Jana was not a regular at the chapel, she was a musician traveling through the area who ended up doing a concert at the chapel touching the lives of those present. And the ripples of that day are still in motion all these years later.

So today, before you step out into the world and have that interaction with the grocery store clerk or a stranger you meet, remember that what you do "in the moment" may still be rippling through the world in years to come.
