Sweet Charity provided our music with great tunes and sing-a-long songs.
In his talk "Your Annual Review," Rev. Mark Stein reminded us that an "annual review" is a great opportunity to learn from our experiences by examining what we did well and what could use improvement. We even got a brief homework assignment to assist us in our review process. (In case you are interested, the homework is shown below the pictures of the day. | | "Annual Review" Instructions: Sit in meditation and think about the past year. For each question, write a brief response (one or two sentences). Be proud of your accomplishments, and be honest about the disappointments you might perceive. Take no more than 30 minutes to complete this assessment. If it's taking longer, you're thinking too hard! Think carefully about what you want to say. If you wish, use this information to set goals for the coming year. Sign it and place it in an envelope marked "Do not open until January." Next year, review it to see where you are in your progression. What did you do well in the past year? What could you have done better in the past year? What good things happened in your life in the past year? What blessings did you receive, and what lessons did you learn from them? What were some things you didn't like about your experiences in the past year? What blessings did you receive, and what lessons did you learn from them? How can I take these experiences, good or otherwise, and allow them to inspire me going forward?
