Dec 7-13, 2020

LAST SUNDAY AT THE CHAPEL

Dave Stewart, Katharine Brown, and Marie Dunkle shared traditional Gaelic music

and Dr. Katie Davis shared with us the connection between lamentation and hope.

SUNDAY SERVICE - DECEMBER 13

Crowe Capps will be sharing his heartfelt guitar music with us.

Kim May is our speaker this Sunday. The holiday season makes it easier to FEEL the joy, yet we must CHOOSE to do so. In her talk "Joy is our God given gift ... let's LIVE that!", Kim will explore the roadblocks that may be preventing us from living in Joy.

Please include the names of those attending and whether they are sitting solo or together.

Remember, fans are ON and doors are OPEN, so dress accordingly.  Please enter thru the front door and exit thru deck doors and leave chairs exactly where they are.

Please continue to observe 6' spacing and the wearing of face masks. Hand sanitizer and masks are available at the front door.

FUND RAISER!

We are getting closer! We now have $3850 towards our goal of $5000 towards the repair of the seawall and upgrades to improve physical access at the chapel.

If you are able and led by spirit to contribute to this place we all love so dearly, we invite you to make a contribution to the fund by dropping your offering in the basket at the chapel, sending a check to Wayfarers Unity Chapel, PO Box 474, Dillard, GA 30537, or via PayPal. Please mark donations for "Building Fund".

FOOD DRIVE IN PROGRESS

You have two more opportunities to contribute to our food drive. Bring your non-perishable, in-date food items to the chapel 12/13 or 12/20 and place them in the boxes on the back counter. We will see that they get to Sharing is Caring Food Bank in Clayton to help families in need.

CHRISTMAS SERVICES - RSVP EARLY!

Only 2 weeks 'til our Christmas Services on December 20th!

This year we are offering two separate and unique services. At 9 am we will have a 40 minute meditative service led by Tom Tyre. At 10 am we will have our traditional celebration service with multiple speakers and singers. Space at both services is limited so make your reservations now by clicking RSVP Now and providing the service time and the names of the persons attending. If you wish to attend BOTH services, please be sure to indicate your preferred time for guaranteed seating and we will happily add your names to the waitlist for the other service.

If you have an interest in doing a short (3 to 5 minute) holiday story or reading for the 10 am service, please contact Marie Dunkle to be added to the agenda (mdunkle@mindspring.com or 770-335-0967). If you have music talents or a special song to offer for our Celebration Service, please contact Chris Casses (chris.casses@gmail.com or 828-200-4543.).

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

"...a trusting attitude and a patient attitude go hand in hand ... when you let go and learn to trust God, it releases joy in your life. And when you trust God, you're able to be more patient. Patience is not just about waiting for something ... it's' about how you wait, or your attitude while waiting.

-- Joyce Meyer
