WRITERS GROUP

No meeting December 26th or January 2nd. Enjoy the holidays with family and friends and we will see you again on January 9th.

DEC 24 -- 10 AM -- SERVICE

This Sunday, Rev. Becky Whitehead will guide us in a contemplative time together with a reading or two, some guided meditations, and time to focus on the birthing of the Christ within.

DEC 31 -- 10 AM -- SERVICE

Sunday, December 31 we will come together to close out 2023 by releasing those ideas, life experiences, and perspectives that no longer support us. Once we have created the space in our consciousness, we will envision and set our intentions for 2024. This is a powerful experience designed to help us manifest the desires of the heart. Service will be facilitated by Rev. Becky Whitehead.

REIKI

Reiki is an amazingly gentle and effective way to manage stress and create health in your mind and body. An important thing to remember as we move into the holiday season when schedules start getting tight and stress levels rise!

If you are interested in receiving Reiki during the holiday season, please contact Ruth Henry (901.218.4234) or Marie Dunkle (770.335.0967).

LAST WEEK

This past Sunday we celebrated the Christmas season together with offerings of songs, stories, and readings from Wayfarers.

And later in the day, fun was had by all at the annual Wayfarers Holiday Gathering at the home of Barbara Beckham and Marie Dunkle.

NEW STUDY GROUP

Begin 2024 by diving into "Wholehearted Living"

In her book, The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are, Brene Brown, PhD. shares what she’s learned from a decade of research on the power of Wholehearted Living. Dr. Brown notes that Wholeheartedness is a way of life that requires practice and intention. It is also countercultural, undermines many pervasive cultural messages, and can be challenging. However, Brown emphasizes that the rewards of Wholehearted Living are far greater than the challenges and invites readers to join the Wholehearted revolution.

Rev. Anne Hartupee and Rev. Becky Whitehead will co-facilitate this new six-week book discussion series based on Brown's book starting on Wednesday, January 10th, at 6:45 pm in the chapel.

This group will meet at Wayfarers Chapel, 184 Wayfarer Lane, in Dillard, GA on the following dates:

Thursday, January 10th, 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, January 17th, 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, January 24th, 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, January 31st, 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, February 7th, 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, February 14th, 6:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

"My idea of Christmas,

whether old-fashioned or modern,

is very simple:

loving others.

Come to think of it,

why do we have to

wait for Christmas

to do that?"
