METAPHYSICAL PICNIC

SATURDAY, 9/10 from 1-4 PM

It is time for the Annual Metaphysical Picnic organized by our dear friends and regular speakers Rev. Mark Stein and Rev Dr. Randy Doster. This is a great opportunity to share an afternoon with like-minded friends. Bring your smiling faces, a dish to share, and your favorite non-alcoholic beverage - maybe even a lawn game if you have one - and join the fun!

The picnic will be at the Western Carolina University Picnic Pavillion in Cullowhee, NC. The full event details and directions are available HERE. (Rain date 9/17)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: If you are interested and open to helping setup, breakdown, or handle supplies, please contact Mark at mark@meditate-wnc.org or leave a message at (828) 356-1105.

THIS WEEK

SUNDAY SERVICE - 10 AM

We look forward to music with Katharine Brown, Marie Dunkle and Ruth Henry and Donna Corso's message, "What's Love Got to Do with It?"

BOARD MEETING - 11:15 AM

The Board will meet in the Chapel at 11:15. All Wayfarers are welcome to attend.

LAST WEEK

MORNING SERVICE

Lisa & Filmer Kilby started us off with their toe-tapping, hum-along tunes. They stayed in place while Brenda Smith shared her story "Bowser & the Deacon." Then at the perfect moment, Lisa & Filmer added the perfect song to reflect some of the lessons of the story. Brenda's stories are always entertaining and full of lessons and this collaborative effort was a treat.

LOOSE SHOES DUO - CONCERT ON THE DECK

We had a fantastic afternoon on the deck with Loose Shoes Duo! With great originals and all our favorite covers, even a passing shower didn't stop the music OR the dancing!

COMING SOON

ACOUSTIC EIDOLON - 9/3 @ 7PM - SOLD OUT

We are looking forward to another fabulous evening with Acoustic Eidolon. Congratulations to all who got tickets - we KNOW you are going to love Joe and Hannah and their amazing music.

CICADA RHYTHM - 9/18 @ 2 PM - FREE

Born and raised in Georgia, this talented pair imitates and modernizes folk music to a rejuvenating degree. Expect chilling harmonies, unbridled enthusiasm and a sincere performance along with some wholesome tunes.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK

When the power of love

overcomes the love of power,

the world will know peace.
