LAST SUNDAY AT THE CHAPEL

Ahh, what a beautiful day at the chapel. The temperature was refreshing and the faces were almost as bright as the sun!

Chris Casses graced us with his wonderful guitar music. Always a pleasure.

In her talk, Life is a Journey. Do Not Focus on the Outcome, Dee Daley spoke of how lessons are learned, relearned - and sometimes relearned. And how that as we come to understand that the Universe wants the highest good for each of us, we can lighten up, relax, and enjoy our time here on earth by focusing not on the outcome, but rather on the journey itself.

Dee's talk will be available online soon at Sunday Talks.

MOSS DRIVE

Bet you never thought you'd see those two words together! Yes, MOSS - that beautiful green ground cover that thrives in moist areas.

We are delighted to have the new smooth accessible walkways, but the construction process meant we lost most of the moss that grew on the previous pathways. So, we have been actively collecting moss from our various homes (and sometimes "friends' homes") and transplanting it to line the walkways.

Don't go out and buy anything - no money required. Just take a look around your own property and see if there is perhaps some moss growing that would be happy living at the chapel. If so, please contact Sandy or Joyce for info on how to collect the moss and/or make arrangements for transfer so that the moss is placed where it is needed at the chapel and stays healthy in the process.

OPELSKE - May 1st

Yes, Opelske meets THIS SATURDAY from 9:30 to noon to continue the spring clean-up and tidying of the chapel grounds. If you are coming Saturday and have moss for the chapel, please bring it with you! If you have questions about what is happening Saturday or how to collect and transport the moss, please contact Sandy (407) 786-4364 or Joyce (828) 200-9160.

THIS SUNDAY - MAY 2nd

This Sunday Dave Stewart from Franklin, NC is our featured musician. He will likely be joined by Katharine Brown for a song or two. What a powerful combo!

Marie Dunkle's My Musings About Fear: Is It a Gift or Root of Suffering? is bound to give us all food for thought.

Remember, fans are ON and doors are OPEN, so dress accordingly. (Maybe even bring a warm blanket in case you are near one of the doors.)

Please enter thru the front door and exit thru deck doors and leave chairs exactly where they are. If you were confirmed for a double and don't see one, please check with one of the board members.

Please continue to observe 6' spacing and the wearing of face masks. Hand sanitizer and masks are available at the front door.

INPUT PLEASE

One of the unexpected elements of dealing with COVID was that we took services outside for a while. So now that we have experience with services both inside and outside, we are curious ... did you like services on the deck, would you like to have more services on the deck during good weather, or do you prefer indoor services?

If you have a preference or concern about which location is used for Sunday services, please contact one of the board members this week (names and numbers below) and let us know how you feel about it. Your input is greatly appreciated as we continue to work to create a wonderful experience for all here at the chapel.
